"The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:3-5

About Me

Oregon, United States
I am a happy, Christian, wife and post-homeschooling mother. I have spent the last several years homeschooling and now I am "adjusting" to a new season of life as "empty nester". In 2010 we moved to be Host/Caretakers at a Bible Camp. We look at our ministry here as preparing the way for the gospel to be shared as well as encouraging believers in their daily walk. I am a farmgirl at heart and love the country, I love gardening and food preserving. I also, love tea parties!! I also have a Titus 2 heart and want to share with anyone willing to listen and learn. I love having friends over and teaching them how to make bread or put up pickles. And as we work, I love to encourage them to love their husbands and their children and to be Keepers at Home and all that implies and I love that you let me do that here!! Hope you enjoy visiting my farm and walking through a journey in life with me.......I hope at some point in time I can encourage you in your walk and in your home..........

Ponderings......

I am sorry I have not been
here in over a week.......
Actually, I get on here and
become discouraged....
My purpose in doing a blog is to encourage
other women in their homes and
to give you a peek at what I do,
in hopes to encourage you.
Lately, however, I feel
like I am just
talking to myself :).....
If I am going to spend time
blogging, I want
to know it is doing some
good, otherwise
maybe I should not
take the time
to spend here.
Sring and Summer are becoming very
busy andI would love sharing what I
am doing, but is anyone listening??
I know people get busy and like just
checking blogs and not commenting....
I do it all the time. :)
But if you are out there,
and you are listening,
could you please leave
a quick comment just
to let me know.....
If there are even just a
few, I will continue,
but if not, maybe it is time
to reconsider.....
Thank You!!
And thank you for when you do take
time to leave a comment. Those of you
who do, have been and
encouragement to me!!

I have been meaning to come by and post a comment but things have been very hectic here this week...
I can relate to your post because I get very few comments also...
I just found your blog this last week and have been reading older posts when I have some spare time.
You have a wonderful blog, please keep posting! ♥

I like your blog. It contains great words, and very pretty pictures. I am 35 with 6 kids. One day I came upon your blog, and it said something about not letting life overwhelm you, but let Gods grace overwhelm you. I cant tell you how much I needed it that day. It was a blessing, and a holy word that I needed to get through my day. Please dont stop blogging.

I love your blog!

I don't get to stop by as often as I would like, but everytime I do, I am encouraged to make my home a haven for friends and family.

To use what I have on hand, to make things pretty, and cozy and special for the people in my life who are so special to me.

I am sorry I dont let you know often enough that I am glad you are here, on this blog and in my life.

Please don't stop blogging!

Me Again.

When I saw this, I thought of you, and I know I am finally taking time to tell you about it.

Taking part in this, where you write your post on your blog, and then post the link on their blog, might get 'your blog name' out into the blogging world.

I think readers who follow the simple woman's day book, would love your blog!

Please be encouraged! I am very blessed by your blog and all you share. Thank you for being an inspiration. It's been quiet in blogland --- but I think people are still reading, just not chatting quite as much.

We're still here too! I love your blog! It is always so nice to visit! It's like taking a break from everything that 'wears' on a person. =]
But... on the other hand... You don't have to feel obligated to post either! That way, when you do post, it can be a break for you too. =]
Love ya!

I have just discovered your lovely blog! What a blessing! I live in Louisiana with my three children who are all growing up much to quickly. This year marks 16 years since the beginning of my homeschooling journey and my "littlest baby" just turned 13. Yes, they do grow quickly.

I also LOVE tea parties. We have just moved into a new home last year where I have space to do things like that and will be hosting my first tea party on my own in a few weeks. (I've helped my SIL and MIL with formal tea affairs in the past.)

Anyway - sorry for rambling, but I did want to leave a comment. I am so glad I stumbled upon your blog. I plan to visit often.
